So you know we're all big fans of live music here at The Rock House, well our friends over at Stay Up Late have started a much needed scheme for supporting people with learning disabilities to get out to gigs more, they've called it Gig Buddies. We all think this is a great idea so I asked Madeline from Gig Buddies to let us know a little bit more...
"If you enjoy the Rock House, and would like to get out to more gigs and events in Brighton, then Stay Up Late's 'Gig Buddies' project may be for you. Gig Buddies enables people with learning disabilities to get out to more gigs and enjoy more music events. The project pairs adults with a learning disability with a volunteer who has similar interests in music or other kinds of fun. P.S. I once supported someone to go see Motorhead at the Brighton Dome... I had an amazing night and it was possibly the loudest thing i've ever seen!
