About:

The Rock House started at The Westhill Hall in 2009 with the core aim to create as much stage time as possible for musicians with learning disabilities. Our nights at Westhill are very informal and experimental, with a unique way of running, including - many short sets and no pressure to come prepared, if you have a song you can play & if you need supporting musicians we can provide them.

Over the years this has created hundreds of very different and unique performances … from improvised solo banjo or hip hop sets to well-honed metal or Ibiza influenced pop, and everything inbetween. More and more bands and musicians that started out playing live here are moving beyond it, playing more mainstream venues & nights, which makes us very proud! We’re making sure that this space will always have an open door for anyone that wants to come and play a song, an instrument in a band or anything else.

Contact us if you’re in a band or a musician and would like to play, or you can just turn up on the night as early as you can and let someone on the door know you’d like to play!
